Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team. The Medical Biller will be responsible for accurately coding and billing medical procedures, ensuring timely reimbursement from insurance companies, and maintaining patient records. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and medical office procedures.

Responsibilities:

- Review and verify accuracy of patient information and medical records

- Assign appropriate codes to medical procedures using ICD-10 coding systems

- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resubmit as necessary

- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve billing issues or discrepancies

- Process payments received from insurance companies or patients

- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines

- Assist with medical collections as needed

Experience:

- Previous experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role

- Proficient in medical billing software and electronic health record systems

- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems, and billing procedures

- Familiarity with medical office operations and insurance guidelines

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processes

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
